The Catholic Women’s League (“CWL”) joined the community of St. Albert the Great Parish (SATG) in November 1999.
Why are we?
We are an organization that encourages spiritual development, promotes Catholic teachings, protects the sanctity of life, enhances women’s role in the church and society, defends Christian education, recognizes human dignity of all peoples, and contributes to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace, and harmony (National CWL).
Who are we?
We invite all women (minimum age 16) to join. We meet monthly with a meeting that includes socialization, spiritual development, and a business portion. We work with our Parish community as well as beyond our Parish doors. As a member you will also receive the National CWL quarterly produced magazine.
What are we?
We are women who understand work, family obligations, and encourage life balance. You can be as involved as your life will allow. Prayers are always welcomed if you are unable to attend a meeting or an event. Join us the first Tuesday of the month (no meeting in July or August) 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and see first-hand what the CWL could mean to you.
Memberships are $45.00. Payment (cheque or cash) along with your Membership Registration Form can be dropped off at a meeting, the Parish office, or in the collection basket in a well-marked envelope “CWL”. Etransfers can be sent to satgcwl@gmail.com.
