St Albert The Great

Albertus Magnus

Albertus Magnus(c. 1200 – November 15, 1280), also known as Saint Albert the Great or Albert of Cologne, was a German Catholic Dominican friar, philosopher and bishop. Later canonised as a Catholic saint, he was known during his lifetime as Doctor universalis and Doctor expertus and, late in his life, the sobriquet Magnus was appended to his name.

Our Story

When Fr. Pat Cramer started this parish it was his hope that one day it would grow into a beacon of God’s love in the community. The melding of tradition and contemporary was to be used to draw all people to God.

On January 5th, 2003 the dream came into being as St. Albert the Great Church was Consecrated to the glory of God, by Bishop Frederick Henry. Today the parish continues to grow and attempts to share in the building up of God’s Kingdom here on earth.

We invite you to share with us and grow with us as we all learn to grow more in love with God and neighbour.
