Finance Council

In accordance with Canon 537 (i.e. the laws of the Roman Catholic Church), every Parish is required to have a finance council to assist the parish pastor in the administration of temporal assets (i.e. material or tangible assets, including building, property and finances) of the parish to help it fulfill its mission in the diocese.

Contemplated repairs of any significance are discussed thoroughly with the diocese and must have Diocesan approval.

Currently the St. Albert the Great finance council membership includes one long term parishioner with extensive knowledge of parish history, two professional accountants, one lawyer and one construction expert who is also chair of our building committee.

Our finance council meets monthly except for the months of July and August unless there is a financial emergency in the summer.

A review and approval of financial statements and comparisons to budget take place every month.
