To arrange a marriage at St. Albert the Great, six to nine months notice is required.  Couples who are planning a wedding in the parish are expected to regularly worship with a Catholic Community and participate in a Marriage Preparation Program.

2026 Marriage Preparation Courses

Congratulations on your decision to seek the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church.

The Diocese of Calgary earnestly desires to accompany engaged couples in deepening their appreciation for the beauty of the Sacrament of Marriage by offering Marriage Formation programs. In addition to the pastoral support given by your Pastor and parish community, trained and experienced facilitators of St. Albert the Great Parish’s Marriage Formation Program will journey with couples to assist them in making Christ the center of their new life together.

This in person course is open to all engaged couples scheduled to be married in 2026/2027 and couples should register when they have been referred by their parish priest.

Couples are required to attend one course for two consecutive days to complete the program and receive their certificate.

Course Times:

The Friday night session will go from 7:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday is 9:00am-4:00pm

Parking:  Access to the parish parking lot is located on Prestwick Street SE, on the Northwest side, behind the parish.

To access the main hall, follow the parking lot around the building to the South side of the lot. You will find Accessible parking at the end of the lot, with regular parking available throughout.

Please do not park in the Parish Office Staff Designated parking stalls. There is a black overhang above a set of stairs that head into the basement, these are the steps you will take to gain access to the main hall.

The two West entry/exit points are only open during mass or for special events. When in doubt use the main parking lot entry.
