St. Albert the Great – 25th Anniversary Events

The following Updates for the Anniversary of the Parish and the 20th Anniversary of the Consecration of the Church will help you to keep informed of things related to the Anniversary.

School Participation

St. Albert the Great Anniversary Committee is proud to have the following schools participate in our weekend Masses on the following dates in celebration of our 25th Parish Anniversary.

We hope all families of the students at these schools come to Mass in celebration with them as they celebrate in the ministries of Welcoming, proclaiming the Word as First Readers and bringing the Gifts during the Mass.

The schedule currently is as follows:

  • 5 pm – Sunday, October 15 – St. John Henry Newman
  • 9 am – Sunday October 22 – Our Lady of the Rosary
  • 5 pm – Sunday, October 22 – Christ the King & Divine Mercy Schools
  • 9 am – Sunday, October 29 – Prince of Peace, Msgr. Smith
  • 5 pm – Saturday, November 11 –  All Saints
  • 9 am – Sunday, November 12 – St. Albert the Great, St. Gianna, & St. Marguerite
  • 5 pm – Sunday, November 12 – Bishop O’Byrne

Merchandise Update

09/25/2023 UPDATE:

Dear fellow Parishioners of St. Albert the Great: Big Mountain is currently working on wrapping up the clothing part of all the orders today (September 25th), which should be delivered to the parish tomorrow morning.  We will have one of our anniversary members inspect the merchandise on receipt and contact the purchaser when it is available for pickup at the parish office during office hours:  https://stalbertthegreat.ca/contact-us/

Any hard items (mugs, tumblers, etc.) that were ordered that have minimum order quantities (MOQ) that were not met from the first deadline, are pending production on totals recorded on October 20th; which at that time, if the MOQ is still not met, those funds will be refunded to the purchaser by Big Mountain.

On behalf of Big Mountain, please accept our apologies in the delay as some printing challenges were encountered which affected the quality and colour on the items and were needed to be rectified prior to delivery for your enjoyment.  We appreciate your support of our Parish Celebration by purchasing this very limited edition clothing printing and hope you all enjoy your purchases for years to come.

Time Capsule Information

Max dimensions of Time Capsule item(s): 15cm x 5 cm x 5cm (i.e. swimming cylinder) – exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested. It shall be no greater than 100g in weight for familial submissions OR 1Kg for schools.   These Time Capsule items:

  • Cannot be:
    • personal clothing
    • human or animal remains, cremated or otherwise
    • bodily fluids of any type
  • Cards submitted must not contain inappropriate language or information and MUST be able to be read by strangers
  • USB drives CAN be submitted but must be marked and contained with familial identification in a larger cylinder
    • Familial Identification includes:
      • Name of submitter and formal names of all people in photos
      • Current home address
      • Personal email address at time of submission
      • Genealogy information can be provided for historical tracing if desired.
    • Photos on drives must be appropriate for public viewing
