Registration for the Sacraments

PLEASE NOTE:

Due to circumstances related to COVID-19, all Sacrament preparation sessions and all Sacrament celebrations have been modified at St Albert the Great parish.  Unfortunately with things constantly changing it is difficult to plan effectively at this point but our lines of communication are open and we will do what we can until things balance out.

Registration for the sacraments is now open for the 2020-2021 "school year."

The Seven Catholic Sacraments are:

Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist (Holy Communion)
Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick
Sacraments of Service: Marriage, Holy Orders

The Latin word sacramentum means "a sign of the sacred."  The seven sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant and important for Christians.  They are special occasions for experiencing God's saving presence.  That's what theologians mean when they say that sacraments are at the same time signs and instruments of God's grace.
